An early end to TGF relay.

What a shame ! The "TGF" relay was ended early due to massive interest.

And "Dumbo's" like me, who didn't post their comments in the right place. I'm glad I wasn't the only one to get confused . Maybe they will have another way to proceed and share next time around. Thanks go to them all for their hard work and time.

I made a little card for a friend who has just had her first child, a gorgeous yummy, scrummy baby boy...

 I used Digi stamps from
Cocoa Studios. It's A Jungle Out There Digi set.

And they are so cute on this TRI FOLD card.
Papers are mainly ARCHAIC from Basic Grey.
Stamps are coloured with Promarkers from Letraset.

Adorable stamps arn't they? !

My poor baby girl (ok ,she's 7) is asleep on the couch with Norovirus. She has been being sick all afternoon,  bless her. I had to go and pick her up from school early today. Poor kid, she wanted to know why it always happens to her. We all feel like that when we're ill thou dont we ! My eldest son Matthew  (11), he said he wished it was him. Arn't kids great. They can show so much love, we can definately learn from them.

Monday Mania Wk 2 @ TGF.

Good Morning Ladies.
Well it's the 2nd week in January already...Summer can't come too soon for me !!!

Are you ready for another COOL chal' from The Greeting Farm?

I am SO into these. I still can't believe it myself.

This weeks theme was to make a card featuring a "COUPLE" using Anya and Ian's.

Here one of the TGF DT's gorgeous cards. Thanks to Caroline.

I love the colours in Caz's card. The title she has used is Special Sister.
How lovely is that....

XXX

I took ages doing my card. A good hour just working out if I cud mask it.
(Never done it b4 and I soon gave up.Will try on something easier first me thinks!)
I finally wiped ink off of the areas I didn't want and drew in the new features. So much easier than trying to place the stamp in the right place. How do u do that when u can't see thru the rubber????
 Tips please..

So Drum Roll please,.,.,.,.,.

Da da,.,.,.,.,. The finished piece !

" I'm  HOOKED on YOU !"

I altered both of my lil peeps. For Anya, (Ladies first I believe....) I removed her ponytails and added a scarf knot on her right shoulder.
Her bag and Boots were a little chunky for a summer's day so they were exchanged for a pair of
sweet strappy sandals.

For Ian, I removed his hand from his trouser pocket, lowered his shirt tail, next I moved his arm to around Anya's shoulders and re-drew his shirt to follow. Then I decoupaged his hand on her arm.

A cute Nautical themed card with a little Anchor button, paper was from Scenic Routes Liberty Range.
Sentiment is printed on PC, (fonts are Avant que and Andes) and then cut out using
Nestabilitie die LABEL 1 on my Sizzix Bigshot.
Punch is Fiskars.

Please leave comments. Lovely, happy, admiring ones prefereably please !
 ROFL!!!

Graphic 45....Book Cover.BIA.

This is my second post of the day...Don't get too excited it won't happen very often.

XXX

I have a song book that has a paper cover. As I use it regularly I want to make it stronger and also pretty too.

I have had 2 pages of Graphic 45 pp in my stash for prob 2-3 yrs. I loved them but I just couldn't into cut them to make a scrapbook page.

I love papers, sometimes too much. I have to force myself to actually use them if they are really gorgeous...Cutting them can be extremely painful, Especially if I know I won't be able to get them again.  (Sad isn't it?)

BUT, You know what I mean don't U ?

I can hear YOU nodding !!    ;)

I have a great tool called a "Bind It All ".

(version 2 . Version 1 is Blue.)

Many of you will be familiar with this fabulous tool.

Yes, (sigh).  I love tools too!

And yes mine is pink! Of course!
Well this Darling tool punches and lets you make things like this....

XXX

This is my 1st attempt at making a specialist book / bookcover.

 I love IT!

As I said earlier papers are Graphic 45. I also had a page of matching diecuts, labels and tabs etc.

I first had to heat the glue on the songbook, remove the paper cover, then slowly peel the pages off the glue spine. They actually came away 99% perfect apart from the first and last page. But they are nothing major..

Next I covered a naked BIA Chipboard Cover(cut to size) with Teal Bazzill cardstock. Then layered/ matted my pp's.
I inked all edge of papers with either Black or Chesnut permanent ink.

Then I punched all my song sheets using the Middle method.

Next I punched both front and back cover.

Finally I assembled with the O-wire. (I only had a pink wire left but it somehows looks good. It brings out a pinkiness in the elements. Sounds good anyway. I was thinking of replacing it with block but I actually like it as it is. And as it's for me for once I don't care wot others may think!
So daring of me!)

After double and triple checking I finally squeezed the O-wire shut.
You do all punching and fitting of  the O-wire with the Bind It All tool.

Once I had assembed the book together I finally decorated the front and back .

I used lots of bits, cut and pasted from the papers. I used a few rhinestones, flowers, a couple of buttons, a couple of photo thingies.(stuck on). A couple of Papermania Silhouettes. (Key & Rose )

I cut the word BOOK using one of my Cuttlebug font dies. (I have the Sizzix Big Shot).
SONG I heat embossed using Gold ink and powder.

Inner front cover, deliberatly simple.
Inner back has a small pocket for any little notes.

Back View.

I used the Graphic 45 logo from the paper edge strip.
I like the fonts and stye used.
The card with the ladies on  in the middle is a diecut.

The back is fairly simple but still very chic.

Well I hope you like that little display..
Please leave comments.

Morning my "Anya" friends......x

Good Morning Girlies.
(Is that a bit sexist? LOL )

Ive just finished all my hoovering so I'm taking an hour to myself and I thought I wud share a few bits I made last week.
XX

Item no 1 is a card I made for TGF's Curious Case chal' . Unfortunalty I didn't upload it in time! Silly Billy....

I used Dorothy from the Signature set.
Sometimes I also scan my stamped images then I can resize them bigger or smaller. Fun eh?!
I can also back them onto CD so they will never deteriate.

XXX

Next is a take using MY Guy Ian, This is for this weeks Saturday Sketch. Let's hope I did this one in time...

Don't you think he is gr8?
I used a tiny See-D's star stamp to alter his cap and hoodie.
PP are mainly Scenic Route.
Promarkers to colour.

The pain is that I have neither round or oval nestabilities..... Oval is printed then hand cut. I use a compass to mark my circle then I hand cut that too....I will be progressing on the Nestabilities front......
Hint, hint, Mr Rowe.

XXX

Now the next card is a MYSTERY.
I made it for a Glitter chal', I thought for TGF but I can't find it in the Blog.
So this is just for our enjoyment.

I used 2 of the Digi Stamps for this one..
Edward and em.....Thats just gone right outta my head ..
Anyway you can find them right here.
I love these Digi's.

You can get printin' almost right away!!

XXX

Here is the FREEBIE for easel card labels again......

Download, Print and Stick on the back of each easel card you make...Cool!

I'm off to make a lovely hot cup of tea... So Very English of me!

Day 10 to 12.

Ok. As I am running so far behind I am just going to list the sketch and accompanying Card. Notes will be very limited. X

No 10

This is Sheriff Ian

Day 11 of 12

Isn't he adorable? This is  Hello Ian  from TGF.

I did say it would be very simple, didnt I ? !

Thursday 7 January 2010

Retry @ NO 9.

So you have seen TGF's sketch that I posted last time, on my entry I used Anya Teacher for a very simple card.

I wasn't to keen on this sketch. And I didn't like my card much either.

At the moment I have a limited amount of Promarkers, due to price. So sometimes things are hard to colour quite as I may have liked. Her hair is rather flat and bland. I've definately made better cards.

Tuesday 5 January 2010

No 9 Chal at Greeting Farm.

Ok I got further than this, I had written much more then my DD Katie pressed a key and I lost the lot....... I have to go and ice cakes with her now so as we know" Good things come to those who wait." I will be back ..Sometime. xxx

Thanks go to GWEN.

Dearest Darling'ist Gwen, Thank You so much for becoming my 1st "follower", I am honored that you would like to see my work on a regular basis.
Thank You , Thank You!
Lots of hugs from Vee xxx

Day 8@ TGF AGAIN....

Hopefully I'll not hit enter b4 I even start this time.

Ok Day 8 of the fantastic challenges the DT have conjured up for us.

I like to have room for a sentiment. I'm glad they included one today.

I love this card. I am relatively new to card making. I never really enjoyed it until I found THE GREETING FARM. I mean it. I had tried using peel-offs and other bits and embellies but I was never happy with them. They always looked too tacky to me(SORRY). I had made a few cards for an Allyscraps challenge last year but was rather lost once the forum over there had closed.

This has been a great find. Thank You Google and TGF.

Well would you like to start making these ....TODAY?

This is one of a series of Digi stamps from TGF.

You can find Dressy Ebony here.
You may have to scroll thru a couple of pages to find her. But it will be worth it. Once you have found her and added her to your basket, make an account , go pay for her, download and Bingo! She is all yours.... xxx

There are a few friends in the Dressy Range. Go and find her a partner.

I used Promarkers from LETRASET. Aprox £1.85 over here or they can be found on eBay..... Of course....

Hair - Terracotta with a dash of Pumpkin.
Hairband, Jacket and Dress Frill - Berry Red.
Dress, Shoes and Flower - Cool Grey 2.
The pp is from October Afternoon.

The sentiment is matted with matching pp using a Fiskars border punch.

"I love to love, but my baby just loves to dance, loves to dance" ....
Ok , not sure why that just popped into my head, maybe cus Ebony is dressed for a night out. I'm not mad really ,just enjoying life.
xxxx

Day 7 of 12 at The Greeting Farm.

Day 7 with no messing or fussing.

Here goes....
The sketch for day NO 7.

And I used Miss Anya "Boots" from the Miss Anya Collection.

I thought she would look lovely in Lilacs today.

I think the paper is a Disney Princess pp from Sandylion.

Promarkers were used as follows.
Face - Ivory and Vanilla.
T-Shirt and Mini Skirt - Lavendar, Lilac and Cool Grey 2.
Boots - Cool Grey 2.
Hairband - Lilac.
I can't remember what shades I used on her hair.
I also used a silver gel pen to highlight her stripes. You can't really see them in the pic.
I think she is rather sweet, ready for a days shopping with her Anya friends.

Please leave me a comment if you have enjoyed any of these.

OW! I nearly forgot. I have a freebie to share....Whooopie!

Last time I posted, I showed you my easel card.

WELL, Today I found these for you and me........

You can save and print them onto label or normal paper and include with the card to show you friend how to stand their lovely gift up correctly.

Sorry if I havn't acknowledged you as the creator but I don't know who made them up.
If you have made them then leave a comment telling me and I will post it ASAP.

Ok, well TTFN.
Lots of love,
Vee in England

Day 6 of 12

My Goodness Me! How on earth do you girls keep up with all this blogging??????
What with 3 young childers, housework, chores and actually making the Cards/Layouts I dont have time teft to show you all my mini works of love.

Ok so this is a week l8. I know, I know. So without any more "argie bargie" I'l get on with showing you my 6th entry for TGF chal'.

Sketch NO.6
Nice and simple  today.

Here is my take on it.

I used Fairytale papers from Imaginsce. I love them. Gr8 for Mum and daughter.
And Princess Anya is coloured in using Promarkers. Sorry but I forgot to take note of the colours I used this time.
I chose to make an Easel Card for this challenge. They are very simple to make and I used the tutorial from here for my first attempt.
Well I hope you enjoyed seeing day 6.

Love and scrappy hugs from Vee in England.
